Tom Kim's wait for his first PGA Tour win in years is over, and he received a special congratulatory message from none other than Tiger Woods. Kim emerged victorious at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland, on Sunday.

What happened?

Kim, 24, carded a 6-under 64 in the final round to finish 17-under 263, securing his first PGA Tour victory since the 2023 Shriners Children's Open. Min Woo Lee finished as the runner-up with a 15-under 265, while Johnny Keefer, Robert MacIntyre, and Matt Fitzpatrick tied for third with 13-under 267 each.

Tiger Woods' support

Kim revealed that Woods, his TGL teammate, was the first person to text him after his win. "He's been really helpful a lot of the time," Kim said during a press conference. "You know, this was my first win in three years, and the first person that texted me was Tiger Woods. Shows you the person he is and how much he cares."

Woods' current status

Woods is currently taking a break from competitive golf after his March DUI arrest in Florida. However, he is still keeping tabs on the PGA Tour and showing his support for his teammates.

Kim's season so far

In the 2026 PGA Tour season, Kim has had five top 25s and two top 5s in 17 starts. His Scottish Open win marks a significant milestone in his career, and he will look to build on this momentum in his future tournaments.
